Full Time Enrollment Undergraduate Level:
- An Undergrdate student must register for a minimum of 12 credits each Fall and Spring Semester to be considered full time.
Full Time Enrollment Graduate Level:
- A graduate student must register for a minimum of 9 credits each Fall and Spring semester to be considered full time. Summer is optional unless the department requires otherwise.
What is an Online Course?
An online course is a course has 100% of the content and class sessions held online, with zero required face-to-face meetings. An online course is a course that does not require a student’s physical attendance for classes, exams or other purposes integral to completion of the class.
During the Fall and Spring semesters, no more than the equivalent of one online class or three online credits may be counted toward the full course of study requirement.
What is a Hybrid Course?
A hybrid course blends online and face-to-face delivery. A hybrid course is a course which requires physical attendance for some component, this could be an exam, a seminar, a lab, or any other kind of meeting which requires you to come to campus for this class.
A Hybrid course at É«ÀÇÉçÇø is not considered an online course. Hybrid and in-person courses are safe for international students enrollment. Hybrid courses will satisfy full-time requirements.
Sustaining Full time Enrollment at the Graduate Level:
- For MS and PhD in Engineering: Once a graduate student who is completing a thesis or dissertation has completed registration in all degree requirement including required face to face course credits (including the registration of 1 to 9 credits of Master’s Research and Thesis ENGR 01.599* or 1 to 12 credits of Doctoral Research and Dissertation PHD ENGR 01.799* except the submission of the thesis or dissertation, the student must maintain matriculation in the degree program during the Fall and Spring semesters by registering for either: Master’s Thesis Continuation (One-Credit ENGR 01.597*) or Doctoral Dissertation Continuation (One- Credit ENG 01.798*). Students in sustaining status are considered full-time.
- A Continuation Approval Form should be filled

MS ENGR 01.598 – Master's Thesis Continuation-1 credit only
PHD ENGR 01.798 - Doctoral Dissertation Continuation- 1 credit only
MS ENGR 01.599 – Master's Research and Thesis- 1 to 9 credits
PHD ENGR 01.799- Doctoral Research and Dissertation-1 to 12 credits
- For Ph.D. in MSE program: Please fill this version of the Continuation Approval Form.
Submitting false or fraudulent statements by students:
Starting Fall 2019, during the I-20 process, if any applicant submits a fraudulent bank statement, to the International Center at É«ÀÇÉçÇø, that is confirmed to be fraudulent by the bank, the applicant cannot receive an I-20 Form, even if he/she later tries to send a legitimate one. Please refer to our I-20 application , on page 2, for more information on the documents required to prove financial support.
